Her Way - An Editorial By Lorenzo Mantovani
“I met Lorenzo for the first time 8 years ago. A skinny, shy 14 years old young boy who was walking into the classroom dressed way differently from anyone else. I Thought he had good taste but I couldn’t tell how important that passion would have been in his life. Now we are 22 years old, we’ve been friends since then and I can’t count the times I got inspired by him and his spontaneous personal style.
I’ve been waiting for ages, and I’m excited for what you’re about to see. This is nothing else but a natural further step of a guy who is dedicating himself to a lifelong passion”

“My love and passion for textiles, clothes and style obviously play a huge role in this project. Also a new interest in editorials both published online and in Japanese fashion magazines such as Popeye, Grind, led me to get more and more inspired by the way fashion is viewed and absorbed by Japanese Culture. I fell in love with that styling sensibility and taste so deeply that I decided to do something on my own and experiment the styling process simply using my wardrobe.”
“The main idea/theme for this editorial consist in showcasing a different vision on menswear through the image of a young girl loving the urban and utilitarian style transported in a natural landscape. The title - Her Way - references to how a girl Would wear men’s clothing like they were made for her.”
“The pictures show a combination of both functional and artisanal garments in order to communicate my idea of layering creating a contrast between technical and traditional garments.“
