The Pop-Up of the Season: Itsuki’s Tattoo-Conscious Fashion

The Pop-Up of the Season: Itsuki’s Tattoo-Conscious Fashion

Tattooing is notorious in Japan for its correlation with crime and rebellion.

However, these narratives have quickly changed thanks to young tattoo artists in Tokyo breaking down walls and introducing their artistry. Notably, one of these artists is Itsuki

Born in 1999, Itsuki developed an interest in inking his drawings on his body to create a perpetual identity as told by his art. Inspired by punk-rock and techno music scenes as well as American comics, his art is one of a kind, merging nihilism with broken lines. His unique approach propelled his debuting career as a tattoo artist. Though young, he’s incredibly prized within the circles of underground artists and designers in Tokyo.

However, sharing his philosophy and legacy is evidently his motto. Therefore, Itsuki has taken a second path in streetwear; he developed an exclusive clothing line for the ideal apparel necessary in his daily life as a tattoo artist.

Exploring the subtlety of his being behind his creations, Itsuki is introducing a high-quality, minimalist collection for other people who align with his needs, whether it be customized pockets for heavy use during tattooing, all while keeping a clean and tailored look.

The limited collection, reminiscing high brands during Japan’s minimalist era in 1990, was available during his pop-up at CANNABIS.
