Step into the Fiery Depths of Diablo IV with XLIM

The long-awaited sequel to Blizzard’s 2012 smash hit Diablo III is finally here.

In all its next-generation glory, Diablo IV since release has seen expectational reviews from multiple major media outlets for its extensive RPG elements and crisp gameplay elements. But it’s not the games sprawling dungeons or crips 4k graphics that have caught our eye. Instead, it’s the collaborative effort between Blizzard and Korean fashion powerhouse XLIM in this special collection, inspired by the treacherous and hellish DNA of Diablo.

XLIM has been a brand on our radar for many years for many reasons; combining sophisticated design philosophy with elegance they mark a new era of Korean fashion and through innovative textile craftsmanship and concise visual language they prove themselves as a serious player in today’s fashionscape. This latest collaboration with Blizzard is just another sign that the brand is one to watch as they continue to break boundaries, blurring universes together.

With a comprehensive collection including XLIM classics such as windbreakers, trousers, long sleeves and short sleeves, and scarves, all items been submerged into the fiery depths of hell and ignited using Diablo’s demonic essence. To celebrate the release, XLIM produced an editorial titled ‘GOOD AND EVIL’ where they explore the lands of Diablo. Ultimate styling that XLIM is known for is paired with roguish aesthetics as the models are placed in volcanic, baron lands. Generating a shoot with a similar overwhelming atmosphere that the Diablo franchise is known for, this is fashion flirting with digital media at its best.

The collaboration comes as both a surprise and a welcome addition to XLIM’s already impressive roster of work. With history proving that video game collaborations with fashion brands do not always come to life as well as we would hope for, but this capsule proves that there is still hope of fusing the two cultures.
